Marcel “Sal” Chytra grew up in Saalfelden – venue of the internationally renowned jazz festival – and thus developed a fascination for jazz, blues and world music at an early age.

After two decades as a live drummer for various transnational jazz and blues projects, the Balkan fire was kindled in him in 2018 - by Aco himself.
